March, 2008 HLSR Junior Show

Gilmore Ranch did well in the junior heifer show at Houston this year as well! Taylor Haliburton won Grand Champion and Calf Champion with Hope’s Cracker Jack. Lance Low won his class with Hope’s Vision, a flushmate to Cracker Jack. Sarah Whitley and Felicity’s Ebony was second in class. Corie Barnes and Darlin’s Kayce and Mabree Haliburton and Felicity’s Lucy took first and second in the early fall junior heifers class. Corie went on to win the junior division. Lucas Harthcock and Gloria’s Bridgette placed second in class. Jordan Shaw and Fritzi’s Bessie also placed second in class.

March, 2008 2008 INTERNATIONAL OPEN BEEFMASTER SHOW
The 2008 International Open Beefmaster Heifer and Bull Show was held in Houston, Tx at the Reliant Center March 3-7th. Gilmore Ranch had a great week! "LG Clara Jack"(Clara x Black Jack)was chosen class champion, then Calf Champion and finally crowned Grand Champion International Female. Hope's Cracker Jack owned by Taylor Haliburton won her class. "LG Clara Kate"(Clara X Grand Cherokee) was selected class champion then Intermediate Champion. Gloria's Bridgette(Clara's Gloria X Navasota) owned by Dylan Harthcock won her class and Junior Champion. Hope's Secret (Clara's Hope X Black Jack)was chosen reserve Champion Pair. Gilmore Ranch won Champion Produce of Dam with their Clara cattle and then went on to win Champion Get of Sire with their Black Jack 21 cattle.

Gilmore Ranch would like send out their congrats to Sarah Whitley and Felicity Ebony's who walked away with Reserve Junior Champion honors.
January, 2008 Another Champ at Fort Worth for LG

Lucas Harthcock and Gloria's Bridgette walked away with top honors at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. LG heifers have won Grand Champion at Fort Worth four of the past five years! We want to also congratulate our other winners who include, Taylor Haliburton and Hope's Cracker Jack who was Calf Champion, and Cory Barnes and Darlin's Kayce who won Reserve Junior Champion.

November, 2007 JBBA Groesbeck Show

At the JBBA show in Groesbeck, Texas Hope’s Secret walked away with Grand Champion honors and Champion Bred and Owned. Clara Jack won Calf Champion and Clara Kate won Junior Champion.

September, 2007 East Texas State Fair

At the JBBA Fall Classic heifer show held in conjunction with the East Texas Fair and Rodeo, Mr. Paul Maulsby selected Hope’s Secret for Grand Champion and Champion Bred and Owned honors. Clara’s Kate won Junior Champion female.  

September, 2007 West Texas Fair

This year there was both an open and junior show at the West Texas Fair and Rodeo. Dr. Jason Cleere judged the open show choosing Clara Kate for Reserve Grand Champion. Hope’s Secret was Reserve Senior Champion and Taylor Haliburton won her class with Felicity’s Lucy. Gilmore Ranch also won Get of Sire and Produce of Dam.

In the junior show, Lindsey Gilmore and Hope’s Secret won Grand Champion heifer, as well as, Grand Champion Bred and Owned heifer. Taylor Haliburton and Felicity’s Lucy walked away with Junior Champion honors.

July, 2007 2007 Nationals

This year’s JBBA National Heifer Show was held in Brenham, Texas. In the Bred and Owned show, Hope’s Secret won Grand Champion. In the junior show Lucas Harthcock and Gloria’s Bridgette won Grand Champion. Other winners include: Hope’s Secret who won Senior Champion, Alex Hamilton and Lacey Girl won their class.

April, 2007 Open To The World Beefmaster Heifer Show
Sunday, April 22, the Beefmaster Promotions Group held their first Beefmaster Open Show and group meeting. We started the day off with a nice Church service before we kicked off the show. We want to thank everyone who came out and participated to help make this a great show. Look for the results in future Beefmaster Cowman magazines.

April, 2007 OPEN SHOW TO BE HELD AT HOUSTON!
We are pleased to announce that there WILL be a Beefmaster open show in conjunction with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in March of 2008. The show will include BOTH bulls and heifers!

Gilmore Ranch wants to sincerely thank each and every person who bought an LG heifer this past year to show. We are pleased to say that the Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Houston Grand Champion Beefmaster heifers, as well as the Reserve Grand Champion heifer at Houston, were all granddaughters of Clara.
March, 2007 HLSR results are in!
This year's judge for the Beefmaster portion of the Houston Livestock Show was Mark McClintock. Winning Grand Champion was Cory Hooper with a Clara granddaughter. Coming in Reserve Grand Champion and Reserve Senior Champion was Garrett Mink and Fritzi's Angel. Lance Low's flushmate to Angel was also a class winner. We would also like to congratulate Jordan Shaw who won his class in the Scramble show with Fritzi's Bessie, another flushmate to Garrett and Lance's heifers.
February, 2007 Lance and Fritzi's Promise does it again!
Lance Low and Fritzi's Promise walked away with top honors again at the San Antonio Livestock Show. The judge, Terri Barber, first selected Lance to win his class, then Senior Champion, and Grand Champion Beefmaster. Mabry Halliburton was Reserve Senior Champion with her heifer Clara's Jade.
January, 2007 LG steals the show in Fort Worth!

Gilmore Ranch would like to congratulate all of the participants who showed their LG heifers in the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. Mr. Doug Husfeld judged the show, and chose Lance Low and Fritzi's Promise (Black Magic x Clara's Fritzi) for Grand Champion. Following Lance in class was Lucas Harthcock, with Fritzi's Amanda, a flushmate to Fritzi's Promise. Also winning her class was Mabry Halliburton and Clara's Jade (Black Magic x Clara) and following her in that class was Dylan Harthcock and Clara's Jewel, a flushmate to Clara's Jade. Also congratulations to Jordan Shaw and Fritzi's Bessie (Black Magic x Clara's Fritzi),who was fourth in a large, competitive class. Congratulations to all exhibitors and look for LG heifers in the winner's circle at San Antonio and Houston!

November, 2006 TJLA Fall Classic
LG ranch would like to say congratulations to all of those who competed in the TJLA Fall Classic in Waco on November 24th. The Harthcock family took home Champion Beefmaster in both rings with Fritzi's Amanda. They also did well with their heifers: Fritzi's Barbie and Clara's Jewel.Garrett Mink won her class in both rings with Fritzi's Angel. The Whitley family also showed their LG heifers.
September, 2006 LG CATTLE DOMINATE 2006 JBBA FALL CLASSIC

THE JBBA FALL CLASSIC HELD IN TYLER ON SEPTEMBER 23 WAS JUDGED BY CHERAMIE VIATOR.   GILMORE RANCH CATTLE DID AWESOME WINNING 4 CLASSES PLUS---GRAND CHAMPION, JUNIOR CHAMPION AND GRAND CHAMPION BRED AND OWNED.   HOPE'S SECRET, A DECEMBER 2005 HEIFER OUT OF CLARA'S HOPE X BLACK JACK TOOK HOME ALL THE TOP HONORS.   SHE WAS ALSO A BIG WINNER AT THE JBBA NATIONALS AND WEST TEXAS FAIR, WHICH ARE HER ONLY 3 OUTS WITHOUT BEING AT THE SIDE OF HER MOM, WHERE SHE WAS EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL ALSO.  

OTHER GILMORE RANCH CLASS WINNERS WERE FRITZI'S BETTY BOOP, FRITZI'S BAMBI AND FRITZI'S ASHLEIGH.   

September, 2006 West Texas Fair

We recently got back from the West Texas State Fair where Lindsey was Grand Champion Bred and Owned with Fritzi's Ashleigh. Hope's Secret was Reserve Junior Champion, while Fritzi's Betty Boop won her class. We also showed for the first time Fritzi's Bambi who was second in her class. Also doing well was Clara's Jade who was third behind two other LG heifers and Fritzi's Barbie who was fourth in a very competitive class. Fritzi's Angel owned by Morgan Mink won Reserve Grand Champion honors at the show as well.

July, 2006 LG has an outstanding nationals!

This year at the JBBA National Heifer Show in Waco, Texas, Gilmore cattle placed outstanding in the heifer show and the bred and owned show. Lindsey was Reserve Champion Senior Showman to start the day off on Friday. In the bred and owned show, LG heifers won five classes, Fritzi's Ashleigh not only won her class, but was also awarded Grand Champion. Reserve Grand Champion honors went to Hope's Secret.

In the heifer show on Saturday, LG heifers walked away with three class winners. Hope's Secret won the Calf Champion Division, meanwhile, Clara's Hope along with Hope's Secret was awarded Reserve Champion Pair.

July, 2006 LG Bulls steal the show
This year Gilmore Ranch entered three bulls into the JBBA National Bull Bonaza. Fritzi's Aspen won Grand Champion. Reserve Grand Champion went to Fritzi's Jaguar. Gloria's Julio won Reserve Junior Champion as well.
July, 2006 LG's are looking awesome at the Belt Buckle Bonanza

On July 4th, several LG heifers traveled to Waco to compete in the Belt Buckle Bonanza. Morgan Mink and Fritzi's Angel took home Reserve Champion honors in ring A and Grand Champion in Ring B. Also doing well, was Sarah Whitley who had a class winner in ring B with Fritzi's Cheyenne.   Lucas Harthcock and his Fritzi's Amanda did a good job bringing home second.  Dylan Harthcock and Clara's Jewel also made a good showing.  We are proud of all of our LG showmen and wish you good luck in the future!

June, 2006 2006 Show Season Is Successful for LG
At every JBBA show so far this year, Bossier City, Brenham, Giddings, Crockett and Sulphur Springs----a Clara daughter or granddaughter was Grand or Reserve Champion heifer. Way to go!
May, 2006 Sulphur Springs JBBA Show

 LG cattle dominated the show in Sulphur Springs this year. Mr. Wade Shackelford judged the cattle who participated in the show. He chose Lance Low as Grand Champion with his heifer, Fritzi’s Amber, out of Fritzi and Black Magic flush. Morgan Mink and Fritzi’s Angel won Reserve Champion Honors. Lindsey Gilmore won Grand Champion Bred and Owned heifer with Fritzi’s Ashleigh. All three are flush mates out of Clara's  Fritzi and Black Magic.

April, 2006 Sweeping through East Texas/ Louisiana Marketing Group Show

 Mr. Blake Nelson from Connors State College, judged the junior heifer show at Crockett, this year.   Corey Hooper of El Campo, Tx. won Grand Champion Heifer and Champion Bred and Owned Heifer with his Clara granddaughter, Versace.   Versace is out of Corey's great heifer, Clara's Gucci that he bought from GilmoreRanch.   Versace is carrying on the tradition of her mother and other Clara daughters by  her successful show career.    Most recently Corey and Versace won Grand  Champion at the Houston Livestock Show.  Her mother and her won Grand Champion at the Fort Worth  Stock Show and Reserve Grand Champion at San Antonio  to name a few!!!     Unfortunately, Clara's Gucci and her baby Versace and Corey did not enter Houston last year so it was thrilling for Versace to come back and win that big show this year!

 Lindsey Gilmore  and Clara's Hope -(Clara x Lion King)won Champion Pair and then Reserve Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Bred and Owned. She had a beautiful Black Jack heifer  calf at her side Hope's Secret.  

LG cattle dominated the show with other winners which include: Class Winner and Reserve Calf Champion: Lindsey Gilmore and Fritzi's Betty Boop -(Clara's Fritzi x Soulman), Class winner and Reserve Junior Champion: Lance Low with his Fritzi's Amber( Clara's Fritzi x Black Magic)--he stood reserve behind Corey with his flushmate out of Clara's Fritzi.  Brandon Rodriguez was a class winner with his heifer, Clara’s Hallelujah, (Clara x Cavalier) and Morgan Mink was a class winner with her heifer Fritzi’s Angel-(Clara's Fritzi x Black Magic).  It was a great show with over 100 Beefmasters entered.

 

April, 2006 2nd Homestead Show proves to be successful

            Once again this year, the second annual Homestead Traditions JBBA show was held after the Witte’s sale. Grand Champion Honors went to Fritzi’s Angel, shown by Morgan Mink. Mr. Dave Allen then chose to follow up with Lindsey Gilmore and Clara’s Jade for reserve. Both heifers are bred by Gilmore Ranch in Madisonville, Tx.

            Grand Champion bred and owned was won by Lindsey Gilmore with Clara’s Jade. Gilmore Ranch also walked away with Champion Senior honors with Clara’s Hope.  

October, 2005 MADISONVILLE FFA WINS NATIONAL FFA
LINDSEY GILMORE travelled  to Louisville, Ky with the state champion Madisonville FFA Ag Issues team. The competition was fierce but when the dust had settled, Madisonville FFA had won the National Ag Issues Competition.  Each member received wonderful prizes and a $1000 scholarship!  Team members were Wes Bailey, Victoria Taylor, Jerrod Reese, Landon Reed, Randi Standley, Christina Taylor and Lindsey Gilmore! 
July, 2005 LG does good at Nationals

Clara's Gloria and Lindsey Gilmore won Reserve Champion Bred and Owned heifer at the National show in Waco, Tx. In the bred and owned show, LG had three class winners. Clara's Gloria was also Reserve Champion Pair in the National Heifer Show. Cory Hooper and Versace, a Clara granddaughter, won Reserve Grand Champion Honors in the National Heifer Show. At the national banquet, Lindsey Gilmore was awarded the prestigious Brian Murphy Scholarship.
